The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puustinen looking to score a takedown here. Jokinen Jr is defending well but Puustinen drives through and ends up in Jokinen Jr's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Antti Puustinen was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Puustinen thows a body shot but no joy.

Puustinen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jokinen Jr to the mat! Jokinen Jr manages to get full guard.
Jokinen Jr could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jokinen Jr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Puustinenis looking to pass into half guard but Jokinen Jr pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Jokinen Jr is in guard.

Puustinen is looking to stand up but Jokinen Jr isn't so interested in that idea.

Puustinen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jokinen Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jokinen Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jokinen Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Puustinen is looking to stand up but Jokinen Jr isn't so interested in that idea.

Puustinen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jokinen Jr manages to get himself to full guard.
Jokinen Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Jokinen Jr is working for a submission of some sort.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Puustinen wants to control but Jokinen Jr is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Puustinen content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Jokinen Jr has locked up a guillotine! Jokinen Jr's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Puustinen is holding on here and Jokinen Jr must be using up a lot of energy. Puustinen has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Jokinen Jr gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
