Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Victory. Dominic Nelson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dominic Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silva displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nelson.

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Nelson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silva throws the left hand but Nelson avoids the punch easily.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Nelson dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Nelson's head and hops out.
Daniel Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dominic Nelson.
Nelson dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Silva throws a series of punches but Nelson avoids them all with ease.

Silva throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nelson.
Nelson misses with a two punch combination.

Nelson dives in and scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Nelson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silva's guard.
Silva on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Silva won't allow Nelson to pass to mount.
Silva is staying active underneath Nelson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to kick Nelson off but Nelson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Nelson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Nelson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Nelson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Nelson looks to land a strike but Silva avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nelson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Nelson postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it.
Nelson stands and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Silva is being controlled here.

Nelson wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
Nelson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Nelson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Silva looks calm but he's in trouble here. Nelson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Silva is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Nelson lets go of the hold and Silva can pop his arm back in it's socket.
