With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ping Petunia!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Petunia as Taylor shoots in.
Taylor doesn't manage to clinch there - Petunia circles away.
Taylor fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Taylor misses with a takedown attempt - Petunia sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Petunia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Taylor is trying to defend but Petunia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Taylor is looking for a sweep. Petunia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Taylor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Petunia is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Petunia looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Petunia is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Taylor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Petunia pulls his head out easily.

Petunia is looking for a kimura but Taylor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Petunia to get the leverage.

Petunia is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Taylor has managed to free his arm - good work.

Petunia wants to work for an arm triangle but Taylor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Taylor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taylor tries to get out of the position.

Petunia has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Taylor defend it? Petunia steps over the head and cranks it - Taylor is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Petunia!
