The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Laylay or perhaps it was just good defense by Pep which made him look bad.
Pep throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A combination from Pep does no damage.

Pep gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Laylay to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Laylay wants to control from the top but Pep keeps moving.

Pep has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Laylay off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Laylay closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Laylay has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pep is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Laylay goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Pep wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Laylay has him pressed against the cage.

A frustrated look appears on Pep's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Laylay tries to work over Pep's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Laylay keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pep's efforts to push away.

Pep misses with an uppercut. Laylay saw that one coming.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's time! Laylay's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Oh Laylay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Pep lands an uppercut, right on the button! Laylay tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
