Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rorion Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenny Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenny Jones is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joaquin tries to clinch up.

Joaquin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Joaquin manages to end up in side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Joaquin circles away.
Jones punishes Joaquin's body with a nice straight punch.
Joaquin wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Joaquin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Joaquin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Joaquin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Joaquin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jones is defending well for now.

Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones wants to control the position but Joaquin says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Rorion Joaquin will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Joaquin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
