Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abe Lincon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from James misses the target.
Lincon throws a hook but James blocks it.
Lincon looks to throw the jab but James is out of range.
James shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lincon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Lincon just misses with a punch to the body.
Lincon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
James defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lincon.
James fails with the takedown
enabling Lincon to counter with a crisp jab.
Lincon throws a hook but James avoids it easily.
James looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lincon is fending him off so far but James persists. Nope, Lincon circles away and we're back to standing.
Abe Lincon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick James.
Lincon ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
James shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lincon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Lincon postures up and lands a big shot to James's brow.
Lincon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground.

James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lincon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
