The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva cracks a nice hook into Sailo's ribs.
Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sailo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sailo drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Sailo off! Sailo jumps back into Silva's guard.

Sailo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sailo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Silva manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sailo has Silva in his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sailo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.

Silva cracks Sailo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Anderson Silva is winning the standup battle so far.
Sailo is breathing heavily.
Sailo seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Silva shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Sailo is backing up but Silva catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Sailo covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Silva Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
