Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dai Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida has chosen Do The Ayatollah as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Anderson misses.

Machida closes the distance and clinches.
Machida trying to land knees to the body.

Anderson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Machida darts in and clinches Anderson up against the ropes.
Anderson is trying to break the clinch but Machida has him pressed against the ropes.
Anderson is looking to control Machida's arms but Machida gets an underhook and turns him. Now Anderson has his back to the ropes.
Anderson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Machida tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Anderson smiles and moves away.
Machida is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Anderson throws the left hand but Machida avoids the punch easily.
A big right from Anderson misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Anderson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Machida scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Machida postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Anderson to stand up.
Anderson swats away the attempt to clinch by Machida.
The fighters circling - Anderson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Anderson clinches up with Machida and pushes him back against the ropes.

Anderson has hold of one of Machida's legs. Machida is fighting the takedown attempt but Anderson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machida on the ground.

Machida pushes a forearm under Anderson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Anderson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
