Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Korter Poundre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poundre comes to the cage accompanied by Did My Time. Watson has chosen ordinary story as his entrance music. The key to victory for Korter Poundre has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Watson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Watson works his way into full mount!
Poundre is wriggling around trying to escape.

Watson swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Poundre is now in Watson's guard. A big mistake from Watson there, giving up the dominant position!
Watson wants to improve his position but instead Poundre has moved into half guard.
Watson regains full guard. Nicely done.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poundre pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Watson is keeping the position for now.

Watson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Poundre won't allow Watson to sweep him here.
Watson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Poundre tries to free his leg and advance position but Watson is retaining full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Watson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

so Watson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Watson trying to control the position from guard on top but Poundre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Poundre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Watson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Watson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Poundre is looking for a triangle but Watson pushes his legs off easily.

Watson stands up and waves to Poundre to follow him.

Poundre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Watson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Watson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Poundre regains guard immediately.
Poundre with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Watson can't handle though.

Watson is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Poundre has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Watson is looking to defend but Poundre has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Watson! Poundre pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Watson taps out and this one is all over!
