Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guilherme Fonseca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Guilherme Fonseca!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fonseca fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fonseca.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sakuraba is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Fonseca is controlling him well.

Fonseca decides to stand back up.

Fonseca lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sakuraba circles away quickly and effectively.
Sakuraba cracks a nice hook into Fonseca's ribs.
Fonseca misses with a wild body shot.
Sakuraba dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Fonseca tries to clinch but Sakuraba is having none of it.
Kazushi Sakuraba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fonseca fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sakuraba sprawls well initially but Fonseca persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Fonseca is looking for a kimura here.
Sakuraba tries to kick Fonseca off but Fonseca keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Sakuraba wants to stand back up but Fonseca manages to pass into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fonseca is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sakuraba has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fonseca is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Sakuraba will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Fonseca trying to control the position but Sakuraba is working away.

Fonseca tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Fonseca has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fonseca decides to stand back up.
Sakuraba fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sakuraba connects with a body shot that sends Fonseca's belly button to the back.
Sakuraba tries to bum rush Fonseca with a series of wild strikes but Fonseca uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sakuraba throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Fonseca colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Sakuraba as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Fonseca is left battered and dazed whilst Sakuraba and his camp cheer!

A less than humble Kazushi Sakuraba misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
