The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Chaney.
Damon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Chaney lands a slapping body shot.
Chaney fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Damon looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Damon throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Damon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Chaney was well out of range. Poor timing from Damon.
Damon misses with a wild body shot.
Damon lands a jab to Chaney's midsection.
A looping hook to the body misses from Damon. Chaney does a little dance to reset his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Damon lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chaney circles away quickly and effectively.

Damon displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chaney throws out the jab.

Chaney lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chaney throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Damon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Chaney is in Damon's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chaney accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Damon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Chaney wants to improve his position but Damon is controlling well.
Chaney regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chaney is looking to sweep but instead, Damon has passed into half guard.

Damon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Chaney has managed to free his arm - good work.

Damon is looking to work some ground and pound but Chaney has wrist control.
Chaney is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Damon will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Damon feints and then cracks Chaney's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Chaney down.
Damon lunges at Chaney with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Chaney's hand.
Damon with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chaney to score with a decent uppercut.

Chaney has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ron Damon!
Ron Damon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
