The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuomela throws an off balance right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Tuomela throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tuomela misses with a kick to the body
and St Pierre counters with a good low kick that Tuomela was not able to check.
St Pierre pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tuomela wants to slow St Pierre down by chopping away at his legs.
St Pierre slips a straight right by Tuomela.
Tuomela gets off balance looking for a body kick
and St Pierre counters with a nice kick to the body.
Tuomela swings widly with a right hand
and St Pierre counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Tuomela wants to improve his position but St Pierre is controlling well.
Tuomela really doesn't want to stay on the ground with St Pierre . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tuomela is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and St Pierre has latched onto it... Big trouble! St Pierre pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Tuomela is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from St Pierre !
