Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shane Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Grace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grace is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Go To Sleep - Eminem. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Taylor works the jab nicely.
Taylor takes a swing at Grace's ribcage but misses.
Grace gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Grace is trying hard to land a takedown here. Taylor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Taylor misses with an uppercut. Grace saw that one coming.

Grace darts in and clinches Taylor up against the cage.
Grace is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Taylor pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Grace has hold of one of Taylor's legs. Taylor is fighting the takedown attempt but Grace gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Grace wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.

Taylor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Shane Taylor wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Grace looks to score with a jab to the body but Taylor is just out of range.
Taylor throws an overhand right that lands on Grace's shoulder, as Grace tries to avoid the shot.
Taylor tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grace swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Grace shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shane Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Royce Grace.
Grace ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.

Taylor is trying to stand up here but Grace is controlling him well.
Taylor is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Taylor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Taylor tries to get out of the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grace stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taylor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grace wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Grace tries to free his leg and advance position but Taylor is retaining full guard.

Grace drops back, looking for a kneebar! Taylor looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Taylor looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Taylor!
