Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fidel Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Cunnigham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castro comes to the cage accompanied by Carlos Puebla - Y En Eso Llego Fidel. Cunnigham is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jeremy. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fidel Castro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremy Cunnigham!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cunnigham shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Castro but Castro pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cunnigham shoots in but no luck this time.
Castro cracks a nice hook into Cunnigham's ribs.

Cunnigham feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Cunnigham tries to free his leg and advance position but Castro is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Castro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Cunnigham does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

This has been an exciting period of action!
BOOM! Castro connects with a massive shot to the dome!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Cunnigham is looking to control Castro's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cunnigham avoid being mounted?

Castro cracks Cunnigham with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Cunnigham takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Castro lands a nice shot to the head.
Cunnigham is still in real trouble! Can Castro finish him?
Cunnigham can't escape the position.
Castro postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cunnigham in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cunnigham to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fidel Castro!
