Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tong Van damm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jet Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van damm's entrance music is Life Goes On. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jet Thompson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jet Thompson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Van damm stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A big right from Thompson misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Van damm.

Van damm scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Van damm is looking to take a break and control but Thompson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thompson managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Van damm.
Van damm throws an elbow but Thompson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Thompson is not content to let Van damm control the position.
Van damm sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Thompson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Van damm is working to tighten is grip on Thompson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Thompson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Van damm is really squeezing tight and eventually Thompson passes out! Van damm breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
