The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall looking to score a takedown here. Simeonov is defending well but Hall drives through and ends up in Simeonov's guard.
Simeonov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Simeonov looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hall drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Simeonov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Simeonov is looking to stand up but Hall isn't so interested in that idea.
Simeonov looks winded!
Hall is in close to Simeonov's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Simeonov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hall is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hall extends the arm and Simeonov is forced to tap!
