The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheshire tries to clinch up

and Gracie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Cheshire wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Gracie wants to advance to full mount but Cheshire doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Cheshire has Gracie pulled in close to control his posture.
Cheshire is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gracie with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cheshire wants to sweep but no luck.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Cheshire is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cheshire manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Cheshire's guard.
Gracie pushes down on Cheshire's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Gracie wants to pass to mount but Cheshire is defending the position.

Cheshire defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Gracie.

Gracie has hold of Cheshire's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Cheshire manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cheshire is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gracie avoids the attempt from Cheshire to control.

Gracie is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cheshire has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Gracie looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Gracie goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cheshire turns into him and now he's in Gracie's guard.

Cheshire tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard.

Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cheshire defends it easily.

Cheshire stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cheshire gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cheshire is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Benji Cheshire wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Cheshire tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gracie paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cheshire lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gracie jumps guard but Cheshire stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

It looks like Peter Gracie has been cut.

Gracie jumps guard and drags Cheshire to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Gracie throws a hook to the side of Cheshire's head but Cheshire sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Gracie counters with a left and a right that stings Cheshire.

Gracie gets tackled into the cage by Cheshire. Cheshire maintains the clinch.
Gracie tries to pull guard but Cheshire holds him up against the cage and eventually Gracie drops back down to his feet.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cheshire walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Cheshire.
Gracie jumps guard but Cheshire turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Gracie blocks the elbow strike.
Cheshire will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Gracie up against the cage.

Gracie is trying to pull guard but Cheshire turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Gracie swings wildly with an uppercut but Cheshire uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cheshire is looking to control Gracie's arms but Gracie gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cheshire has his back to the cage.

Gracie pulls guard effortlessly.

Cheshire got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cheshire has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

Gracie tries to clinch up but Cheshire pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Gracie to the mat! Gracie covers up and Cheshire unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
