The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gusmero has time to react.

It looks like Jose Gusmero has been cut.
West thows a body shot but no joy.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
