The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Powell.
Powell misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kicko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Powell.
Powell avoids the body shot from Kicko.
A combination from Powell does no damage.
Some wild striking there from Powell.
Powell ducks under a wild hook from Kicko.
Kicko lands a glancing blow to the side of Powell's head.
Powell looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Powell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Powell takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kicko dodges the punch combination from Powell.

Kicko misses with a hook. Powell ducked under it nicely.
Kicko scores with a decent looking hook.
Powell misses with a straight right.

and Kicko counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kicko.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Kicko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kicko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Powell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kicko's guard.
Kicko has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kicko isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Powell stacks Kicko on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Powell!

Kicko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Powell's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Powell is trying to control the action in half guard but Kicko is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Powell is sitting in close to Kicko's body. Kicko has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Powell is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Powell is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kicko.
