PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Bryant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enok Nitti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nitti has chosen Way of the Warrior as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nitti fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bryant sprawls well initially but Nitti persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Nitti in particular looking to stall.

Nitti is trying to work for a kimura but Bryant is defending well.
Nitti slows the pace down in half guard.
Bryant is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Nitti content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Enok Nitti.
Sloppy strikes from Bryant. Those never looked like landing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nitti wants to clinch up but Bryant keeps it at a distance.

Nitti closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bryant pushes Nitti away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nitti gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Nitti creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bryant sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Nitti tries for a kimura but Bryant is defending well.
Nitti throws an elbow but Bryant slips to the side and avoids it well.

Bryant is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nitti is controlling him well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nitti decides to stand back up. Nitti steps back and let's Bryant get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nitti slaps away a takedown attempt from Bryant, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bryant is breathing heavily.

Nitti shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bryant is trying to defend but Nitti finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nitti working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Nitti has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bryant defend it? Nitti steps over the head and cranks it - Bryant is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nitti!
