PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mak Artur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Artur comes to the cage accompanied by I shall return. Bennett is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Shipping Up to Boston. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bennett throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Artur stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Bennett avoids the body shot from Artur.

and Artur counters with a nice uppercut.
Artur just misses with a punch to the body.

Brad Bennett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Artur dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Artur throws a jab but it's blocked by Bennett.
Artur takes a swing at Bennett's ribcage but misses.
Artur throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bennett stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fight stays on the outside here - Artur looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bennett shoots for a double leg takedown but Artur sprawls well. He's pushed Bennett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bennett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Artur looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bennett is keen to just control but Artur is a slippery customer.

Artur goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bennett has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Artur but great work by Bennett.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Artur is looking to improve his position but Bennett isn't that keen on the idea.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Bennett! Artur is hurt baaadly! Bennett is firing away with more strikes - Artur is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

After the fight, Brad Bennett was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
