Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Giovanni Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mamed Khalidov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Balboa comes to the cage accompanied by Fratelli D'Italia. Mamed Khalidov struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Giovanni Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mamed Khalidov!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khalidov looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Balboa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Balboa tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khalidov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Balboa lands with a good body shot.
Balboa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Khalidov at a distance.
Khalidov throws a front kick aimed at Balboa's knee but Balboa avoids it well.
Balboa closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Khalidov is trying to force a seperation but Balboa has the dominant position.
Balboa throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Balboa is working Khalidov over against the cage.
Khalidov looks winded!
Khalidov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Khalidov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Balboa pushes Khalidov up against the cage in a clinch.
Balboa digs a right hand underneath Khalidov's ribcage. Khalidov let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Khalidov is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Balboa lands with a light punch inside.
A nice right hand lands inside from Balboa.
Balboa lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Khalidov backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Balboa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Balboa goes for a small jab and connects. Now Balboa goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Khalidov stumbles back but Balboa runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Khalidov to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Khalidov will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Giovanni Balboa!
Our winner, Giovanni Balboa, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
