Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Syd Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hey Man Nice Shot. Tony Booth looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booth lets loose with a powerful body kick. Smith will feel that in the morning.
Booth looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Booth persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing.
Booth takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Booth looks gassed!

Smith closes the distance and clinches.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Booth.
Smith wants to break free but Booth has control.
Smith fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Smith is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Booth gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Smith has a couple of punches blocked by Booth.

Smith pulls guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Booth might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Smith kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Booth utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Booth manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Booth in his guard.
Smith thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Smith is looking for a triangle but Booth pushes his legs off easily.
Booth wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.

Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Smith is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Booth is just riding it out for now. Smith eventually gives up the hold.

Booth fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Booth looking to control but Smith is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Booth has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Smith's face.

Smith bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Booth, up you get!

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Booth.
Smith is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Smith lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Smith has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Booth clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Booth swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
