The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halvorsen moves to clinch but Jackson breaks away

and Jackson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Halvorsen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jackson goes for a takedown attempt but Halvorsen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Halvorsen circles away.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Halvorsen as he jumps to the side.
Bert Halvorsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Jackson.

and Halvorsen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.

Halvorsen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Halvorsen is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson has momentary wrist control but Halvorsen slips an elbow through the middle.
Halvorsen stands up over Jackson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jackson is rocked!
Halvorsen postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Jackson covers up, he's hurt! Halvorsen keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Halvorsen and the ref steps in to end the fight! Halvorsen can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
