The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Palmeiras lands with a shot to the body.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from O Palmeiras.
Yamamoto fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. O Palmeiras looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Horrible takedown by O Palmeiras or perhaps it was just good defense by Yamamoto which made him look bad.
Yamamoto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but O Palmeiras circles away quickly and effectively.
O Palmeiras's jab looks to have found its range, popping Yamamoto under the eye.
O Palmeiras misses with a takedown
and Yamamoto counters with a three punch combo that has O Palmeiras backing up. O Palmeiras nods at Yamamoto to acknowledge the strikes.
Norifumi Yamamoto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nunca Subestime O Palmeiras.
O Palmeiras tries to score a power double leg takedown but Yamamoto sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten O Palmeiras somewhat.

O Palmeiras closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Yamamoto's guard.

O Palmeiras will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Yamamoto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Yamamoto drops back looking for a leg! O Palmeiras is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and O Palmeiras manages to kick Yamamoto off! Yamamoto jumps back into O Palmeiras's guard.

Yamamoto postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. O Palmeiras looks a forlorn figure.

Yamamoto uses his free foot to push down on O Palmeiras's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for O Palmeiras.

O Palmeiras tries to reverse the position but Yamamoto maintains control.
O Palmeiras is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
O Palmeiras is squirming around, avoiding Yamamoto's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Norifumi Yamamoto will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

O Palmeiras throws a wild hook but Yamamoto just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! O Palmeiras gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Yamamoto raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
