Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Dean Corcoran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Koichi Kamei!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Corcoran has Kamei up against the cage in a clinch.
Kamei wants a takedown.
Kamei lands with a short shot to the head.


It looks like Dean Corcoran has been cut.
A short body shot lands from Kamei as the two fighters clinch.
Kamei trying to stall but Corcoran improves his position.
Corcoran is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kamei is defending well for now.
Corcoran is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kamei softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Kamei has had enough of the clinch but Corcoran keeps him there for the moment.
Kamei lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Corcoran throws an elbow that misses.
Kamei manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Corcoran tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kamei avoids it.
Corcoran with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Kamei stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Kamei dodges an elbow strike from Corcoran.
Kamei lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Kamei lands an uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Come on Kamei - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Corcoran pushes off an throws an elbow but Kamei leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Kamei stalls.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kamei.
Corcoran misses with an elbow strike.

Kamei escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kamei cracks the inside of Corcoran's front leg.
Corcoran looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kamei gets the takedown into side control.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kamei tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Corcoran takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Corcoran taking a bit of punishment here - Kamei scoring with strikes.
Kamei controls the position from side control.
Corcoran tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Corcoran wants to get back to his feet but Kamei drags him back down.
Kamei trying to control the action but Corcoran is working from the bottom.
Kamei looks up at the clock and then as Corcoran takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kamei smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Corcoran is trying to buck Kamei off.
Corcoran is breathing heavily.

Kamei works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corcoran being controlled for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kamei cracks Corcoran with an elbow. That is naaassty.
You can see the frustration on Corcoran's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kamei scores with a couple of short elbows.
Kamei in side control lands a decent elbow.
Kamei landing a few strikes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Corcoran is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kamei connects with a decent elbow.
Corcoran is trying to buck Kamei off.
Kamei lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Kamei has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kamei landing punches.
Kamei connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


Corcoran is rocked!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Corcoran tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kamei cracks Corcoran with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kamei is landing with some decent strikes but Corcoran is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Oh Corcoran is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kamei softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Corcoran is out cold! Kamei jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Koichi Kamei!
Our winner, Koichi Kamei, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
