Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guara Grove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason Kennedy looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Kennedy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Guara Grove!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Grove both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Jason Kennedy has been cut.

Grove pushes Kennedy up against the cage in a clinch.
Grove is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Grove is pushing Kennedy up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Grove gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Grove lands a good knee to the midsection. Kennedy won't want to take too many of those.

Grove pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kennedy looks to land a combination. Grove sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kennedy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kennedy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Grove moves into range and clinches up with Kennedy.

Grove jumps guard and drags Kennedy to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Grove is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kennedy stops Grove from standing up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grove can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kennedy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Grove is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kennedy is breathing heavily.
Kennedy preventing the sweep.
Grove has a closed guard, preventing Kennedy from standing up.
Kennedy stops Grove from standing up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Grove lands a left and a right that send Kennedy crashing to the mat, dazed. Grove thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Kennedy is rocked!
Jason Kennedy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grove throws an overhand right that has Kennedy reeling! Grove follows up with more punches and Kennedy is out cold! This one is all over!
