Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mike Mazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clyde Dillinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mazer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Fighter. Clyde Dillinger has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Clyde Dillinger!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dillinger rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mazer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mazer fails with a takedown attempt.

Mazer closes the distance and pushes Dillinger back into the cage.

Dillinger trying to stall but Mazer improves his position.
Dillinger wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mazer gets underhooks to prevent Dillinger's takedown attempt.
Mazer is looking to take this one to the mat.

Mazer has clasped his hands together around Dillinger's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Dillinger is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mazer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Dillinger tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Dillinger is looking for a sweep. Mazer is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mazer is taking a breather. Dillinger says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dillinger tries to roll over but Mazer keeps him under control.
Dillinger is controlling Mazer's trapped leg to prevent Mazer from advancing to side control.
Dillinger wants to get back to full guard.

Dillinger has his foot on Mazer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mazer works his way back into a safe position though.
Mazer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mazer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looks like Mike Mazer has been cut.
Dillinger postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Mazer is out cold - huge knockout for Dillinger!
