The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazer fails with the takedown
and Levasseur counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Levasseur swinging wildly here.
Jab, jab by Levasseur - just one landing.
Levasseur defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mazer.
Mazer tries for a takedown but Levasseur circles away easily
and Levasseur connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Mazer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Levasseur misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mazer.
Levasseur darts in and clinches Mazer up against the cage.
Levasseur escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Levasseur lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mazer circles away quickly and effectively.

Levasseur throws a punch but it's blocked by Mazer.
Levasseur tries to throw a body punch but Mazer avoids it by throwing Levasseur back against the cage.
Levasseur lands with a short head shot on the inside.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Levasseur takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Mazer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Levasseur avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Levasseur lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Mazer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Levasseur walks away with a smile on his face. Mazer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mazer misses with a takedown attempt - Levasseur sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A punch combination from Levasseur misses.
Mazer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Max Mazer has been cut.
Mazer shoots and misses
and Levasseur counters with a left to the body.
Levasseur is looking to land body kicks.
Mazer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mazer shoots in and drives through. Levasseur sprawls well.
Levasseur looks to land a combination but Mazer avoids it well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Levasseur scores with a one two! Mazer had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Levasseur counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mazer gets tackled into the cage by Levasseur. Levasseur maintains the clinch.

Mazer misses with a takedown attempt
and Levasseur counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Levasseur pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Mazer back to the cage. Levasseur follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mazer is rocked!
Levasseur lands a nice shot to the body.
Oh Mazer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Levasseur throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Mazer shoots and misses
and Mazer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mazer is breathing heavily.
Levasseur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mazer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mazer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Levasseur counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Mazer! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
