Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adriano De Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Augusto misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

De Souza gets caught flat footed, as Augusto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
De Souza has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

De Souza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Augusto manages to get himself to full guard.
Augusto seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Augusto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. De Souza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

De Souza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Augusto is just riding it out for now. De Souza eventually gives up the hold.

Adriano De Souza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
De Souza closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - De Souza lands in his opponent's guard.
