The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jericho is trying to work for a sweep but Capetto has mounted him!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jericho avoids a series of strikes thrown by Capetto.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Capetto looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are battling for position here. Jericho manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jericho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Capetto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Cosme Capetto will probably get the nod.

Jericho shoots and misses

and Capetto counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jericho!
Jericho is desperately trying to improve his position but Capetto has a good base and remains in mount.
Jericho manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Capetto is pressing down on Jericho's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jericho is holding on for now.
