Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaco Shaco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaco Shaco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Logan!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Logan fails with a takedown attempt.
Logan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shaco is trying hard to land a takedown here. Logan sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Shaco just misses with a punch to the body.
Shaco swinging wildly here.
Logan stuffs the takedown attempt from Shaco. Shaco gets slowly back to his feet.

and Shaco decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Logan's guard.

Logan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shaco can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Logan wants to stand but Shaco is controlling the position.

Logan keeping moving, preventing Shaco from controlling successfully.
Logan controls Shaco momentarily but Shaco frees himself.
Logan wants to sweep here but Shaco controlling him for the moment.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Logan wasn't active enough on the ground.
Logan shoots in for a takedown but Shaco shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jaco Shaco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Logan.

Shaco shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Logan is trying to defend but Shaco finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Logan throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Shaco takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Shaco lands a nice short elbow.
Logan keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Shaco stops Logan from getting back to his feet.
Shaco is keen to just control but Logan is a slippery customer.
Logan is trying to stand up here but Shaco is controlling him well.
Shaco content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Jaco Shaco has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Shaco shoots in but no luck this time.

Shaco feints and as Logan raises his hands in defense, Shaco changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Logan is pulling down on Shaco's head. It's preventing any offense from Shaco, at least for the moment.

Shaco has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Shaco wants to control from the top but Logan keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jaco Shaco.
Logan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shaco is out of range and Logan settles back down.
Shaco fails with a takedown attempt.
Shaco shoots in but no luck this time.
Shaco shoots for a takedown but Logan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Shaco could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Logan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shaco has a takedown stuffed.
Shaco is breathing heavily.
A swing and a miss from Shaco.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jaco Shaco dominated that round.

Shaco looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Logan has one foot on Shaco's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Shaco fails with a takedown attempt.
Logan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Logan misses with a looping right.
Shaco misses with a straight right.
Logan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shaco paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Logan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shaco.
Logan shoots in for a double leg but Shaco sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Logan throws a leg kick but Shaco sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Logan looks for a takedown but Shaco sprawls well.
Jaco Shaco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Logan.
Logan shoots in looking for a takedown. Shaco tries to sprawl out of it but Logan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shaco manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Logan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shaco.
Logan wants to clinch up but Shaco keeps it at a distance.
Shaco pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Logan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shaco backs up against the cage.


It looks like Jaco Shaco has been cut.
Shaco closes this distance looking for a takedown but Logan circles away.
Shaco keeps the fight on the outside.
Horrible takedown by Shaco or perhaps it was just good defense by Logan which made him look bad.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Logan tries to close the distance and clinch but Shaco swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Logan fails to land the takedown.

Shaco shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Logan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Logan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shaco's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Logan trying to hold on to Shaco's head to control him but Shaco postures up.
Logan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shaco's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shaco's back!

Shaco wants to get back to his feet.

Logan is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Shaco is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Logan gets his way!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Logan looking to break Shaco's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Shaco remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Logan will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Logan is trying to control but Shaco is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Logan misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Logan is working for a guillotine from mount but Shaco frees his head quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Logan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Jaco Shaco's cut.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Shaco shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Logan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Logan parries the strikes from Shaco easily there. Shaco is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Logan to escape.
Logan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Shaco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Logan on the ground.
Logan flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Logan is controlling Shaco's trapped leg to prevent Shaco from advancing to side control.

Jaco Shaco overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Logan works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Logan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Logan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Shaco is surviving well by controlling Logan's body position as best he can.
Logan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shaco is looking to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Logan get's back to his feet.

Logan instigates a clinch.
Shaco can't break the clinch.
Shaco drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Logan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shaco looks to land a combination but Logan avoids it well.
Shaco fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Logan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Shaco sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Logan somewhat.
Logan doesn't manage to clinch there - Shaco circles away.
Shaco shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Logan sprawls well. Logan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shaco gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jaco Shaco. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jaco Shaco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Logan lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Logan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Shaco's efforts to push away.

Logan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

John Logan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Logan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
