Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stevie Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpha Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reyes comes to the cage accompanied by All the Above. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Stevie Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alpha Dog!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog misses with a takedown
and Reyes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dog shoots in for a double leg but Reyes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Reyes jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dog is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dog shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Reyes but Reyes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Stevie Reyes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alpha Dog.

and Reyes counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Reyes bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dog's head backwards.
Dog shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Reyes sprawls well. Reyes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dog gets slowly back to his feet.
Reyes connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

You get the feeling that Reyes really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Reyes wants to hold on but Dog pushes him away.

Reyes manages to control the position for a moment.

Dog has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Reyes's face.

Reyes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dog on the ground.
Reyes tries to hold on but Dog postures up.
Reyes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dog pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Dog is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Reyes can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Dog has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reyes is bucking up trying to escape but Dog cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Reyes sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Reyes wants to improve his position but Dog is controlling well.
Reyes won't allow Dog to pass to mount.

Dog tries to pass to full mount but Reyes defends it.
Reyes is looking for a sweep. Dog is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dog throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dog looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Reyes is trying to maintain the position but Dog is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reyes is looking to improve his position.
Dog is nestled in close to Reyes, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alpha Dog dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dog fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reyes avoids it really well and circles away.
Good shot there by Reyes.
Reyes leaves Dog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Reyes shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dog eats them both and turns towards Reyes to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Reyes lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Reyes thuds a left hand into Dog's body.
Reyes throws out a powerful jab.

and Reyes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dog is still on wobbly legs! Can Reyes finish him?
Reyes scores with a one two! Dog had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Reyes lands a nice looking body shot.
Reyes drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Dog right on the button. Dog goes down! Reyes follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Reyes gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stevie Reyes!
