Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davor Sakic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakic comes into the arena with Hail mary Tupac Shakur blaring out of the sound system. Jerome McCool has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Davor Sakic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jerome McCool!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sakic drives through with a takedown into guard.
McCool pulls Sakic in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sakic stopping the sweep attempt from McCool.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McCool holds on and takes a little breather.
McCool is looking to sweep but instead, Sakic has passed into half guard.
McCool is not content to let Sakic control the position.

McCool escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sakic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McCool is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sakic thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

McCool is looking to stand up but Sakic isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

McCool gets caught flat footed, as Sakic shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

McCool shoots in for a double leg but Sakic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McCool throws a right hand that Sakic ducks under and follows up with a left that Sakic also avoids with ease.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCool is on top in guard.
