Rasputin comes to the cage accompanied by TURISAS - Rasputin. Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancing moves in looking to clinch but Rasputin pushes him off.
Lancing is looking to clinch.
Lancing fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Rasputin pushes Lancing up against the cage in a clinch.

Rasputin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rasputin manages to end up in side control.

Rasputin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lancing has escaped the position, nice work there.

Rasputin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rasputin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lancing is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rasputin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lancing has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rasputin but great work by Lancing.
Rasputin is trying to control Lancing's posture but Lancing avoids it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rasputin is looking for a sweep.
Rasputin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Lancing's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Lancing prevents Rasputin from improving his position.
Rasputin wants to control but Lancing is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin.
Lancing on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Rasputin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Rasputin has hold of Lancing's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lancing manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Lancing is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rasputin gets his way!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lancing shoots in for a double leg but Rasputin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lancing misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rasputin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Aaron Lancing seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck for Rasputin with that takedown attempt.
Rasputin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lancing.

Rasputin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lancing is trying to defend but Rasputin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rasputin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lancing is just riding it out for now. Rasputin eventually gives up the hold.

Lancing gets tackled into the cage by Rasputin. Rasputin maintains the clinch.
Lancing jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rasputin walks away with a smile on his face. Lancing gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Lancing.
Rasputin wobbles Lancing with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Rasputin dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Lancing to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
