The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies tries to bum rush Noel with a series of wild strikes but Noel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Noel darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Noel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Noel misses with a head shot. Davies uses the momentum to regain guard.
Noel wants to pass the guard but Davies is keeping the position.
Noel passes Davies's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Noel thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Davies wants to get back to his feet.
Noel thows a huge punch but Davies dodges it nicely.
Noel is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Davies!

Noel is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Davies has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Davies knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Noel on the ground.
Noel putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Noel pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Davies is trying to escape the mount but Noel keeps good control and instead manages to take Davies's back.

Noel has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Davies! Can he survive? No! He's out! Noel gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
