Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between River Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sync Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fowler's waist but Fowler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carver off to one side.

Carver gets caught napping as Fowler dives in and scores a takedown. Carver manages to retain guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Carver's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carver is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fowler is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Carver wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Fowler advances nicely into full mount.

Fowler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Carver can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Carver's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Carver darts in and clinches Fowler up against the cage.

Carver dives in and grabs Fowler's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fowler pushes down on Carver's head and hops out.

Fowler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carver looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fowler is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Carver has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Fowler has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Carver taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Fowler doesn't care though - he's delighted!
