Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marko Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marko Roach!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Roach, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Roach fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marko Roach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roach throws a right and a left that Wilson avoids nicely.

Roach lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Wilson sprawling to the canvas. Roach follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Wilson hang on?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wilson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Roach has hold of Wilson's hands but Wilson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Roach wants to get back to his feet.
Wilson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Roach with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wilson connects with a nice short shot to Roach's temple.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Roach parries the strikes from Wilson easily there. Wilson is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Roach to escape.

Roach is trying to get back to his feet but Wilson has full control of the position and if anything, Roach has just worked his way into a worse spot.
