Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jarni Kutsoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jefferson Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kutsoo comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Sandman. Jarni Kutsoo has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kutsoo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thompson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Kutsoo counters with a shoot takedown. Thompson fights it but they end up in guard.

Kutsoo gets to his feet. Thompson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Thompson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kutsoo.

and Kutsoo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Thompson's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kutsoo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Thompson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Thompson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kutsoo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kutsoo works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Thompson is doing well to control the position and prevent Kutsoo from advancing to side control.
Kutsoo is looking to take a break and control but Thompson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kutsoo decides to return to a standing position.

Thompson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Kutsoo stands up over Thompson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Kutsoo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Thompson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kutsoo has Thompson in his guard.
Kutsoo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Thompson!
