Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Vanko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lubomir Aleksandrowicz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vanko gets tackled into the cage by Aleksandrowicz. Aleksandrowicz maintains the clinch.
Vanko lands a left hand.
Vanko throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Aleksandrowicz is trying to break the clinch but Vanko is controlling him.

Aleksandrowicz has hold of one of Vanko's legs. Vanko is fighting the takedown attempt but Aleksandrowicz gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Aleksandrowicz looking to sit in guard and control but Vanko gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Vanko makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vanko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Vanko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Vanko throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vanko postures up.
Aleksandrowicz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vanko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aleksandrowicz keeping moving, preventing Vanko from controlling successfully.
Vanko missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Vanko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Vanko passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The strikes coming from Vanko are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vanko wants to control but Aleksandrowicz is keeping him busy.
Vanko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Aleksandrowicz is trying to control Vanko's posture but Vanko avoids it.

Vanko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vanko has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Aleksandrowicz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Vanko yanks on the arm and Aleksandrowicz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Vanko.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ivan Vanko!
