Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Muhammed.
Chavez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Muhammed feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Muhammed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Muhammed rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Chavez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Chavez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Muhammed counters with a nice low kick that buckles Chavez's knee momentarily.
A clash of legs there as Chavez blocks the low kick.
Chavez takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Muhammed Muhammed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muhammed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Chavez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chavez lands a nice shot to the head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Muhammed utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chavez wants to control from the top but Muhammed keeps moving.

Muhammed is looking to sinch up a triangle. Chavez throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Muhammed's body to avoid the submission. Muhammed has instead reached around Chavez's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Muhammed arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
