Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogelio Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald comes to the cage accompanied by No Apologies. Dos Santos comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Oh Fortuna kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rogelio Dos Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos throws a series of strikes that have McDonald backpedaling.
McDonald shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dos Santos as he jumps to the side.
Dos Santos looks to land a right hand but McDonald moved out of range.
Dos Santos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McDonald throws a body punch but Dos Santos moves out of range.
McDonald displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dos Santos throws out the jab.
Dos Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McDonald.

Dos Santos throws a right and a left that McDonald avoids nicely.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
McDonald throws an overhand right that lands on Dos Santos's shoulder, as Dos Santos tries to avoid the shot.
Dos Santos throws a nice looking combination but McDonald bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rogelio Dos Santos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McDonald decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

McDonald changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dos Santos tries to avoid it but McDonald manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dos Santos to the ground. Dos Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McDonald ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dos Santos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McDonald circles away quickly and effectively.
Dos Santos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

McDonald shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dos Santos napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McDonald is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dos Santos has escaped the position, nice work there.
McDonald tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
McDonald is working hard here to advance position.

McDonald tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McDonald has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

McDonald thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dos Santos stops McDonald from passing to mount.

McDonald wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dos Santos, who protects the arm well.
Dos Santos really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDonald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dos Santos moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McDonald looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dos Santos is fending him off so far but McDonald persists. Nope, Dos Santos circles away and we're back to standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark McDonald will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
