The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ling Wei closes the distance and pushes DeLong back into the cage.
Ling Wei stops a takedown attempt from DeLong.
Ling Wei pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ling Wei shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as DeLong sprawls well. DeLong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ling Wei gets slowly back to his feet.
DeLong fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ling Wei scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Chase DeLong has been cut.
No luck for DeLong with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chase DeLong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
DeLong shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice takedown defense from Ling Wei. No joy for DeLong on that attempt.
Ling Wei shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts DeLong as he jumps to the side.
DeLong tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Ling Wei gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows DeLong to score an easy takedown into full guard.
DeLong passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Ling Wei can't do much from the bottom here.
DeLong in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Ling Wei managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by DeLong.
Ling Wei tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but DeLong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ling Wei takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

DeLong misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The strikes coming from DeLong are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
DeLong throws an elbow but Ling Wei slips to the side and avoids it well.
Ling Wei is looking for a sweep.
DeLong is looking to take a break and control but Ling Wei is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
DeLong wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ling Wei, who protects the arm well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ling Wei is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
DeLong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

DeLong has hold of Ling Wei's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Ling Wei seems comfortable defending it but DeLong has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Ling Wei is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Ling Wei is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but DeLong couldn't care less - he's delighted!
