Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Farrell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Poppy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Farrell is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poppy with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Farrell is breathing heavily.
Some bone on bone action there as Farrell checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Farrell shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A clash of legs there as Farrell blocks the low kick.
Poppy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Farrell sprawls well initially but Poppy persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Poppy is pressing down on Farrell's thigh, looking to free his foot. Farrell is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poppy throwing shots but Farrell is blocking nicely.
Poppy is looking to advance position but Farrell won't allow it.
Poppy seems to be working for a kimura but Farrell defends the submission attempt.
Poppy works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Farrell has left one of his arms exposed and Poppy doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Farrell screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
