Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Oswalt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Larry Bennett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Oswalt!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oswalt fails to land with a series of punches.
Bennett throws a leg kick but Oswalt checks it.
Oswalt moves out of range as Bennett throws a body kick.
Oswalt shoots in but Bennett avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Oswalt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bennett sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Larry Bennett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Oswalt.

Oswalt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bennett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bennett is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Oswalt is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Oswalt is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bennett is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Oswalt is looking to take a break and control but Bennett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Oswalt misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Oswalt has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bennett wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Bennett pushes Oswalt off looking to stand but Oswalt dives back in and keeps control.

Oswalt passes the guard and advances to mount!

Bennett wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Oswalt.
Bennett is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Oswalt postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bennett looks a forlorn figure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oswalt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.

Oswalt swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bennett is now in Oswalt's guard. A big mistake from Oswalt there, giving up the dominant position!

Oswalt throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bennett uses it to pass to side control.

Oswalt is looking for a sweep.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oswalt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Oswalt is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Oswalt manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Oswalt not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Oswalt tries to pass to full mount but Bennett defends it.

Oswalt has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Nate Oswalt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bennett slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Oswalt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Larry Bennett has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Nate Oswalt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Oswalt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
