The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mojo.
Lamar misses with a wild body shot.
Lamar avoids a kick to the body.
A big left from Mojo misses.
Lamar slips a jab and a cross from Mojo.
Mojo throws a nice looking combination but Lamar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lamar lands with a nice body punch.
Lamar throws a hook to the side of Mojo's head but Mojo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A telegraphed right hand from Lamar misses the target.
Lamar ducks under a wild hook from Mojo.
Lamar could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mojo misses with a double jab.
Mojo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Lamar swings for the body but Mojo moves out of range.
Mojo tries to bum rush Lamar with a series of wild strikes but Lamar uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lamar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mojo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lamar works to advance to full mount. Mojo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lamar can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mojo is looking to escape.

Lamar throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mojo because Lamar loaded up on that one.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
