Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Stallone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lewis looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Stallone tries to clinch up but Lewis circles away and keeps his distance.
Lewis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stallone.
Stallone fails to land the takedown.
Stallone gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lewis counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sylvester Stallone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lewis breaks the clinch.
Stallone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Stallone goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like John Lewis has been cut.
Stallone throws a right hand that Lewis ducks under and follows up with a left that Lewis also avoids with ease.
Stallone shoots in looking for a takedown but Lewis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stallone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lewis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stallone takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Stallone closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lewis counters by clinching up.
Stallone pulls guard successfully.
Lewis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stallone has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lewis has managed to get both his arms back between Stallone's legs - danger averted.
Stallone had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lewis defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stallone looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Lewis is defending well. Stallone quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Lewis has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Stallone celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
