Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Lucas!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas shoots and misses

and Frulani counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lucas won't be happy with that.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lucas pushes Frulani away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Frulani gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Lucas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Frulani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Frulani wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lucas, who protects the arm well.

and Frulani counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Frulani gets to his feet. Lucas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Ryan Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Frulani counters with a shoot takedown. Lucas fights it but they end up in guard.
Felipe Frulani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Lucas.

Lucas wants to get back to his feet but Frulani is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Felipe Frulani just wasn't active enough.
Frulani is looking to clinch but Lucas is avoiding it.

Frulani has closed the distance and engaged Lucas in a clinch.
Frulani tries to circle away but Lucas has him pinned against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Lucas is working for takedown but Frulani is calmly controlling the position for now.
Lucas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Frulani gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A frustrated look appears on Frulani's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lucas has Frulani pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Frulani manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Frulani pulls guard.
Lucas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Frulani manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lucas tries to buck Frulani off but he can't manage it.

Frulani throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Lucas has his hands clasped together but Frulani breaks the hold and Lucas is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Frulani!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Felipe Frulani!
