The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker tries for a takedown but Funkiunga sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nice jab there from Parker.
Parker connects with a good right hand that stumbles Funkiunga. Funkiunga circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Parker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Parker drives through with a takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Parker postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Funkiunga is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Parker, into his guard.
Parker has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Funkiunga doesn't defend quickly enough and Parker has managed to lock this one up! Can Funkiunga escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Parker on a fantastic submission victory.
