Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Axl Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis fails with a takedown attempt.
Davis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Steele is fending him off so far but Davis persists. Nope, Steele circles away and we're back to standing.
Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Steele as he jumps to the side.
Axl Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henry Davis.

Steele feints and as Davis raises his hands in defense, Steele changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Steele drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Davis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Steele has Davis in his guard.

Davis shoots in for a double leg but Steele sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Steele changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Davis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Steele throws a strike aimed at the side of Davis's head but Davis avoids it well.
Steele has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Steele decides to stand up, so the ref orders Davis to his feet.

Davis gets to his feet. Steele looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steele but Steele pushes him off and we're back to square one.
